He could have gone for the cheek. No, that's the European way. Or maybe just gone straight for lip to lip. He could have been brutal. He could have been coarse. Did he know I wouldn't fight? He must have...

It's not what you think.

I think he knew that a bullet would've been much less cruel than this.

Thank you. I think that kiss probably drove Mulder mad in quiet moments, trying to dissect and decipher the whys and the wherefores. A wonderful little scene.
