Drabbles on Minor Characters #2 for
open_on_sunday

darkhavens
Rating: PG-13 for language
Spoilers: I don't think so
Summary: Spander, though the eyes of others. Yeah, I know, I'm predictable. ;o)
Motherly Concern
Some people say it's something the mother does when they're just babies. It puts the wrong ideas into their heads or something and they grow up like that. But in that magazine article last month they said that it was all genetics, so maybe he was born like it. Would that make it any less my fault? Would his father understand that there was nothing I could do about it? Oh, please don't let him find out. Xander's moving out next week and his little blond friend with the leather coat is very discreet. Please keep them safe until then.
Indebted to Dad
That useless boy is late with the rent again. I’d go down there and take the ‘interest’ out of his hide but he’s out at one of those crappy jobs he keeps losing. Always coming in smelling of grease or cheese or Chinese moogoo-whateverthefuck. And I bet he thinks I don’t know about him having that friend of his stay over. Bleached blond British freak. Who wears a coat like that outside of Hollywood? I’d almost think he was queer, but my boy knows better than to take up with one of those after what happened with that Jesse kid…

on 2004-04-27 11:24 am (UTC)I tried to do Uncle Rory too, but he kept coming out as a child molester and I'm not sure about going down that road, at least not yet. That'll teach me to read Twilight Time by Shadow too often. ;op
Twilight Time published as zine
on 2004-04-27 04:58 pm (UTC)"New, expanded version of this novel is available in zine form only and can be ordered from LionHeart Distribution."
link to order page (http://www.lionheartdistribution.com/buffy.htm#devious)
I'd love to read the expanded version, but $31 is a bit steep (I have a paperbacks-only policy, for the safety of my budget).
Do you know whether the author (Shadow) is on LJ? Where would be the best place to post a question about the expanded zine version?

on 2004-04-27 05:27 pm (UTC)I have no idea if Shadow is on LJ, but I'm always looking to find my favourite authors here so I keep an eye out for them. I'll let you know if I find her. ;op
