And the other meme is the three questions one. Ask me three questions, any questions, and I'll try to answer them honestly, or at least in an inappropriately entertaining manner.

How did you get involved in BtVS and AtS slash?

By wonderful wonderful accident. :op

A friend was writing an HP fic, Lucius Malfoy/OFC, and I did some beta work for her. When she was finished, I got curious and did a search for fanfiction right here on LJ and I don't whose journal I ended up in, but it had a link to Alexandria Brown's web page (since taken down by the lady herself). My first thought when I saw the Spike/Xander pairing was more of a disbelieving snicker than a cry of joy. And then I started reading Waiting Here and I was hooked. I read the rest of her stuff the same night and then went out onto the web and trawled for more. Five months later I'm still trawling and completely besotted. I've tried other combinations and pairings, but S/X is my OTP.

What do you find most satisfying about writing?

I've always been a writer, even when I wasn't actively writing. I can't remember a time when I didn't have stories in my head, real flesh and blood characters with personalities and opinions of their own. I guess what I find most satisfying about writing is being able to share those stories; being able to write them so that other people can enjoy the stories in my head.

That and the feedback. ;op

What do you find most satisfying about reading?

Getting lost in the words. or the stacks. ::looks around at the 6000+ books in my livingroom:: If the book is good enough I can lose myself completely, get sucked into the writer's world.

I read Order of the Phoenix on the day it came out, and as I was reading a scene containing a thunderstorm I heard thunder outside the window and it seemed perfectly natural that there would be a storm going on cos it was in the book. It wasn't until the hail started coming in the window that I snapped out of it enough to realise that it wasn't perfectly natural. I swear I would have accepted seeing someone go past in robes at that point. Hee!
