All Is Not Lost

Dear Rupert,

It has come to my attention that you're still obsessing, fretting, as it were, about my boy and I and what we've done.

Forgive my being forward but I have taken measures, passed your address on to one you used to know quite well.

Xander found him hiding out in Florida amongst the swamps, selling two-edged curses to the rich. He perked up quite considerably when we told him you were moping; torturing yourself with thoughts of everything you've lost.

I would have written sooner but Xander can be most demanding.

In Or Out

Connor stood in the doorway and watched his friends brothers? uncles? cousins? fucking - a fierce furore of corded, intent limbs and gore-tipped fangs.

He didn't know whether they hadn't heard him enter or simply didn't care - maybe they liked performing for an audience - but they didn't turn to glare or growl, they didn't sigh 'What now?', they carried on and let him look his fill.

He watched them, sweat-slick and panting, slump against the pillows, aftershocks still rolling through their bones as they cooled down.

"In or out, just shut the bloody door, luv, yeah?"

Connor smiled and stepped forward.

I hated the thought of Ethan being locked up and experimented on by the Initiative, so in my head he escaped and lived by his wits and wiles. Swamp!Ethan will rock Giles' world. ;)
