slashthedrabble on Saturday, I also forgot to post a response to it. Honestly, I take one week or so off over Xmyth and my brain turns to putty. *spanks self*
In reparation, I am posting a drabble before I close the challenge and open a new one.

Plans Are Afoot
Angelus couldn't help slipping back into his old ways. Not entirely - not to the point where he wanted to send the world to hell - but once a megalomaniacal control freak, always a megalomaniacal control freak, and so he dreamed of ruling the world with an army of biddable daywalkers. He had no idea.
Connor knew. He knew exactly what Angelus thought. He knew what Angelus dreamed, planned, wished for in the dark, twisted corners of his mind where madness lay in wait. It worried him.
Spike quietly plotted their escape. Xander, himself, probably Connor - and it had to be soon.
