At the Park

A full year after 10 U.S.C. §654 had finally been killed, John still had trouble believing he could kiss another man in public without destroying his career.

Rodney seemed content with nothing more overt than bumping elbows as they walked, talked, ate and sat together, but John wanted to give him more, knew he deserved more, for sticking by him and struggling to remain discreet all these years.

They were at the park watching Madison, Jacob and little Austin when John finally screwed his courage to the sticking place and leaned in for a feather-light kiss.

Rodney's smile was incandescent.

Well, sometime in the next however long it takes me to nag her into it while, there will be at least one new multi-fandom icon post from her.

But I can't nag too hard. She did just gift me with a brand new shiny layout for bloodclaim, including the header and matching icon. :D

The layout is a couple of weeks old at the most. We spent ages tweaking it in a test comm first, and then tidied up loose ends once it was in place and we got fb on it.

It took ages to find a layout that would let us put the counter up at the top, but there was no way I was losing him - not this close to the magic million. :D

A tiny issue: sticking post -- is this what you want? The Shakespeare quote is "to the sticking place" and the idiom is usually "sticking point".
