Caged Lightning

Xander lay quiet, curious and blind, leather and buckles binding him to the specially strengthened bed frame.

"Spike?"

The only response was something cold and ball-shaped pressed into his belly, and Xander jerked a little in surprise.

"What…?"

The pressure was removed and for a second Xander was puzzled, then, "Oh, jesus! Fuck!"

Body arching into the electrifying sensation, his heels scrabbled for purchase on the sheets.

"Oh, fuck, Spike! What the hell is that? Again! Oh, please, do it again!"

Spike did. Again and again and again.

Much later…

"What was that?"

"New toy, luv. A violet wand."

"Cool!"



Puppy Rescue

"Why did she pick this night, Spike? Why couldn't she wait until the weather broke?"

Sheet lightning painted silhouettes across the city skyline, shredding the clouds that fought to hide the moon from prying eyes.

"That's our Dru, always one for drama. Why pick a quiet night when you can have the heavens as your backing group. The rain, the wind, the lightning - she's sure it's all for her. It's the stars showing their approval of her choice of growly puppy."

"Shit. Can we just get in there, grab Connor and make a run for it? She scares me sometimes."
