Little White Lie
Xander waited until they were alone before turning on his Sire.
"What the hell was that, Spike? 'No, mate, we don't keep minions as a rule, they always seem to end up underfoot.' Yeah, right! Nothing to do with the fact that every time one of them tries to be nice to me, you go all caveman and rip their fucking heads off!"
Spike shrugged and kept walking.
"Yeah, well, Angelus already knows I'm a soppy git. There's no need to give him something else to laugh about at my expense. Who needs soddin' minions, anyway?"
"I hate doing laundry!"
Broken Promises
"You promised you wouldn't go hunting Slayers on your own."
"I know, but…"
"You promised, luv. You lied to me and now you have to pay."
Xander squirmed under Spike's scrutiny, vibrating with lust and excitement.
"It was only the one and it wasn't really hunting, I swear. I just went out to grab us a quick snack and there she was. It was sweet, Spike, the taste of all that energy in the air, and her without a clue what to do. She barely even struggled when I pounced."
"So, you didn't lie?"
Xander blinked.
"Hell yeah! Punish me?"
Misdirection
Spike hung up the phone and pinched the bridge of his nose as Xander wandered in from the kitchen.
"So, you told him?"
"Fuck no! I asked if Dru was there, said I wanted to ask her something about when we were in Paris. He said she'd gone off with a couple of his minions, looking for a growly little puppy to bring home. He thinks she's trying to find him a new toy to play with. I'm not sure how he'd react to learning she's out there hunting Connor. We're going to have to try and find him first."

It's my fault really, I let them get way out of date (about 18 months!). TX volunteered to play catchup but that's a lot of posts to go through. ;)
