Rebirth

Xander suckled hard, drawing out the potent Sire's blood he'd craved since waking. The taste became everything, drawing him ever deeper into ecstasy, into the bottomless well of lovecareminealways devotion and need and hunger. So deep, so focussed, so mindlessly intent, he barely noticed strong, slender fingers tangling in his hair, supporting his head as he nuzzled the wound for more.

He drank till he was sated, then remained in place, lapping at the site of his first feeding. Life was different now, he could feel it in his bones. He didn't understand yet but he would; he trusted Sire.



Onwards

The car was packed with everything Spike thought they might need - weapons, clothes, snack foods for his childe, booze, and fags. He'd even turned a blind eye to the stupid sci-fi plates that Xander had snuck out inside a folded stack of jeans. His boy might be a demon but the geek genes still remained, and he couldn't wait to see what else had stuck.

The radio blared out heavy punk as Spike sang along, anticipating all the fun they'd have. The Welcome sign went down without a fight as they drove over, leaving the Hellmouth behind for new horizons.



In the Beginning...

"Tell me about the beginning, Spike."

"Again?"

"Yeah, but now you can tell the truth." Xander squirmed closer, cursing the gear stick for keeping him away from his beloved Sire. "I always knew you kept bits back because you thought I'd freak. You never mentioned biting or forever, not that way. Please, Spike? Sire, please?"

The freeway rolled by at a steady 90mph, as Spike told Xander how much he was wanted. From the moment pseudo-Angelus had offered him up as a snack, Spike had seen potential in his eyes. He'd known the scared young boy would be his childe.

The last one, though? Too perfect. Seriously wishing it had really happened like that. With Spike deciding that Xander would be his the moment he laid eyes on him. *sighs happily*
