Permanent LJ accounts (and other LJ stuff)

Just a heads-up to everyone that LJ will be making permanent accounts available for purchase (for a limited time only) in a couple of months, so y'all should start saving now.

I don't know how much they'll cost, and I have selective amnesia about how much I paid for mine, but I still think it was worth every penny. (Does that make sense? Do I care? *g*)

Also, they recently added a new Edit Journal Privacy doohickey, that lets youedit privacy settings of multiple posts in date-defined batches.

And finally, for those of you bemoaning the 750 friend limit that LJ imposes - they changed it! Free accounts now have an upper limit of 1000 friends and Paid journals can have 2000!

Friending spree, anyone?

Oh, and a question... how did you get your own header on this layout? I had this layout before, prefer it to what I have now, but it didn't have an option for a header image :( Did you do this with CSS, or something? Because I really want this layout back, but with my pretty header picture!! *cries*

to get a header on this layout you need to create a theme layer and do the coding thing - or tap someone to do it for you. (literati does all mine, though I have pretty much learned how to tweak and edit where necessary. *g*)

Hee! Me too!

You get the maximum number possible, which is 137 right now, but for every three months you have the account you get an extra icon and for complete year, you get another one, so you get five additional icons every single year. It just keeps going up and up! :D
