First Date

They had their first real date before the dust had even settled. The wizarding world was still in uproar, counting losses, praising heroes and rewriting history. They didn't care.

Finally, they could take time for themselves without the worry that their closeness could be used to cause them harm.

And if Draco didn't really understand why they were sitting in a darkened auditorium filled with uncouth idiots, watching things explode and Muggles fight, he didn't mention it.

He was too distracted by the knee pressed tight against his own, by the scarred fingers tangling playfully with his atop his thigh.

Aw, that was so great. I liked it. You're a perfect example of the power of choosing one right word instead of 3 others. You manage to pack so much into each line that you honestly don't need much more explain motivation and emotion.
