Baaaaaah!
Meme gakked from
truly_tazi, cos I'm feeling all blergh and unable to come up with anything ficcy. So, ask me anything and I'll lie through my teeth try to answer honestly.
I want everyone who reads this to ask me 4 questions. Any 4, no matter how personal, dirty, private, or random. I have to answer them honestly. In turn, you have to post this message in your own journal, and you have to answer the questions that are asked of you...

Questions:
2. What pairing(s) are you ashamed to admit you like?
3. Looking back, what's the worst piece of fic you've ever posted? Include a link if you have one.
4. Why did you originally join LiveJournal?
Re: Questions:
2. Ashamed? I'm pretty shameless really, but I think I can remember reading a (series of?) fic where Spike is pimping Andrew out to Giles, Angel, Wesley, Xander etc for daddy!kink sex and Andrew is in a babydoll night dress and I got kinda squicked out at myself for enjoying the fic(s). LOL!
3. Worst fic? Yike. I've been a writer since I could hold a pencil and form a sentence, but I've only been sharing my stuff online for just over a year so there's nothing out there that's badly written (I hope!). And when I discovered the joys of fandom (Nov 2003), I read every piece of S/X I could get my hands on, and I was always a fan of the show, so I'm (kinda) confident that my characterisations don't tend to be too off-the-wall.
So I suppose I'd have to say that I'm not too happy with some of my earlier drabbles, as I'd never written such short pieces before discovering
4. A friend linked me to LJ as something to read (we used the 'random journal' facility a LOT) and we spent a couple of weeks trading urls, saying 'oh, you have to read this one!' and then she got a code from someone (back when it was 'invite only'), created a journal, and nudged me into getting one too. I had no idea what I was going to use it for, but it seemed like a fun idea and so I jumped on the bandwagon. Then I had the idea of having a couple of journals, one for the 'normal' me, and one for the darker stuff, hence 'darkhavens'. And then I discovered S/X through an LJ search and 'normal' me was no more. I was hip-deep in gay vampire lovin' and enjoying every minute of it. *g*
That was fun! Thanks for playing. :o)
Re: Questions:
Taken individually the Tarot drabbles are wonderful. It's only when you put them all together that the...choppiness I guess is the best word...shows up.
This was fun.

So, completely random questions:
1. What's your favorite book?
2. If you won one million dollars, what would you do with it?
3. Do you write in fandoms other than Buffy/Angel?
4. Are you a cat or dog person?
no subject
2. Ooh, a million? Quit my job; buy a place near the ocean; visit all those places I've wanted to see - Mexico, Peru, Egypt, Easter Island, Australia, etc etc; pay off my brother's mortgage; set up a T1 line and a bank of servers so I can host all that wonderful Spander that's languishing on geocities and angelfire and other ad-crazed poppy-uppy free sites.
3. I have written a few pieces outside of 'my' fandom - in the X-Files fandom (Mulder/Krychek) in the Harry Potter fandom (Sirius Black/Remus Lupin), aaaaaaand on on the prison drama Oz (Beecher/Keller). They were all at the request of my primary reader and fic-petter, the person who got me into LJ in the first place,
4. I'm... an allergic to animal fur person. *g* I can be in a room with one or two animals for a few hours at a time, as long as they're well ventilated, but living with one is out of the question.
Dogs tend to hump my leg and most cats are terrified of me on sight - they will run as soon as I get within 10 feet. The most vicious ones, however, seem to love me. Cats that usually attack their humans, as well as any visitors, are the ones that curl up on my lap and go to sleep.
I suppose I'd have to say I'm a cat person, if only because they don't slobber like dogs. ;o)

I love apocalypses too! There's a great French author(René Barjavel)whose books almost always have an apocalypse and I've read every one of them!
2. "set up a T1 line and a bank of servers so I can host all that wonderful Spander that's languishing on geocities and angelfire and other ad-crazed poppy-uppy free sites"
That'd be great!
How come no millionaire ever came up with this idea? *shakes head*
3. Great! More fics to read for me!
4. Cats always act weird with people who don't like them or are allergic to them! My first cat was a sadistic bitch, who would always follow around my mother's best friend who's allergic to cat fur! Of course, she completely ignored everyone else!

Obviously no millionaire has ever discovered the joys of Spander. Poor, misguided souls. We need to find one that is open to suggestion. *g*

2. What's your favorite movie?
3. Who was your childhood crush?
4. What's the scariest situation you've ever been in?
no subject
If we're talking the traditional meet-shag-leave, then just one. (Best.Sex.Evah!)
If we include single nights of sex with friends, then it goes up to three.
2. 'Pandora and the Flying Dutchman' (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0043899/) - it's unashamedly romantic and I watch it at least once a month. It was made only 3 years after my mother was born, so it's an oldie, and it's built around one of my favourite legends.
3. When I was about 8 I fell in love with James Cagney in all the old black and white movies that used to be on every Sunday afternoon. Even back then I loved a bad boy.
4. Um... Sawn-off shotgun to the head? That was kinda scary, even though I was pretty sure I wasn't in any real danger. (And yes, the gun was loaded.) Let's just say that the landlord of a certain biker bar had a strange way of testing the mettle of his friends' new friends. Apparently I passed muster because after that I was one of very few allowed behind the bar. I was 17. o.O

And my bad-ass past isn't half as impressive as it sounds, honest. Dave was a bit of a dipstick with a very wierd sense of humour and as he ran a pub frequented by Hell's Angels he needed major weaponry behind the bar to keep them under control. ;o)

I didn't get around to it yesterday, but half an hour ago I suddenly remembered I was planning to watch 'Pandora and the Flying Dutchman', so here I am. And here you are. :o)
