Title: Nature Boys
Pairing: Spike/Xander
Rating: 18 for implied violence
Disclaimer: Not mine, never will be. No harm, no foul, no money made.
Notes: Baby!vamp!Xander and his Sire get in touch with nature. Previous knowledge of this 'verse is not necessary, just know that Spike vamped Xander and they're happy together.

Better Than TV

When Xander let his primal hyena spirit out to hunt it was a lot like watching one of those nature programmes on TV, but up close and interactive and decidedly more fun. And he had watched those documentaries, with Xander right beside him, MST3King some of the overly pompous twits.

Still, nothing beat getting to see his boy all proud and feral, prowling towards his prey with supreme confidence. Even with the demon aboard he sometimes had his doubts, but hyena'd up he never once stopped to second think himself.

Spike sat back and waited for the screaming to begin.

Tourist Season

Smeared with drying mud and blood, dotted with leaves and blooms, they lay on what remained of their patch of grass and watched the silver moon slip slowly across the diamond-dusted sky. Their only point of contact was a tangled knot of fingers, resting on the trampled ground between them.

"You should have ideas more often, luv. When you suggested we go camping I thought..."

"I know. I enjoy not having to hunt down dinner every single night, but every now and then it's kinda fun."

"'T's bloody marvellous!"

"So... Fancy a trip to Yellowstone next month? It's tourist season."

I wonder if there's a quota on tourists, or a points system, like with bucks. Maybe it's the number of neckstraps?

Thankee! :D

Given the complaints about how crowded places like that are, I'm thinking the hunting would be unlimited.

*cackles*

Loved this!

What the hell is "MST3K"? I've seen it all over the place and no explanation!

Apparently, I'm dumb or something. lmao.

"Mystery Science Theatre 3000" I think it was called. It's a series with a hapless janitor entrapped on a space station and forced to watch bad scifi movies with his two cleaning robots. In pure mental self defence, they snark the things they watch almost to death. I only ever watched one episode, but it's to die for! Xander and Spike ought to love it.

yeah, it's Mystery Science Theatre 3000, and it's hilarious. They rip the hell out of 1950's sci-fi films. You know the ones - aliens with impossibly high foreheads to hold their superior intellect; aliens in papiermache masks or furry suits; computers made out of cardboard and too many flashing lights. :D

Oh, thanks, lmao. I think I'd passed it by a time or two but never watched it. *cough* A guy trapped on a space station watching bad scifi movies with two robots? Umm...yeah, lmao. Sounds...well, actually, better than any of the crap reality shows they've got going on now at any rate, heh.

Kind of felt it, lol. Saw that everywhere and people just seemed to know what it meant.

I think they need to come visit Lake Havasu City, We have a snowbird season,no limit. They might be tough but they are chewy. Hubby and I ran out of frezzer space last year. And Spike can visit the London Bridge, it is retired here and picking up a tan.
