I do a lot of my hunting at Recipezaar (http://www.recipezaar.com/).

I have an Opera widget and a carefully compiled txt file to help with US-UK measurement conversions.

I do like the idea of the website scaling up/down portions for me though. Definitely worth investigating. :D
